The second Research Meets Policy Seminar of the EU-CIVCAP project took place on 11 September 2017. It was organised and hosted by the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels and more than 20 experts and policymakers attended.
Peacebuilding Forum 4 – “In reform we trust: Improved EU-UN cooperation in preventing and responding to conflicts?”
Ahead of the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations, this event on 11 September 2017 in Brussels was devoted to EU-UN cooperation in mustering civilian capabilities for conflict prevention, crisis response, conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
Workshop 3 – “EU, UN and OSCE capabilities in conflict prevention and peacebuilding”
On 18 May 2017, Maastricht University organised a workshop at its Campus Brussels on EU, UN and OSCE capabilities in conflict prevention and peacebuilding under the title “Implementing the EU Global Strategy: EU civilian crisis management and the integrated approach in perspective”.
Peacebuilding Forum 3 – “Resilience in EU Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding”
On 16 March 2017 in Brussels, the third Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding Policy Forum was held, in which a panel of two European Union officials, a senior diplomat of a Member State, and a civil society representative debated the concept of ‘resilience’ and its implications for EU conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
Workshop 2 – “EU Conflict Prevention”
On 27 January 2017, EPLO hosted a workshop on EU capabilities for conflict prevention and technological shortcomings in early warning and conflict analysis, bringing together experts from the Consortium’s associates, external practitioners and researchers.
Workshop 1 – “Technologies, personnel and procedures in conflict prevention and peacebuilding”
On 18 November 2016, the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) hosted a workshop on EU technologies, personnel and procedures in conflict prevention and peacebuilding, bringing together experts from the consortium partners, external practitioners and researchers.
