Andrea Malouf

Andrea Malouf provides strategic analysis and planning support to public- and private-sector clients working with Aktis Strategy, a development consultancy. She has completed projects in Iraq, Tunis (on Libya), Southern Turkey (on Syria), Lebanon, Myanmar and Western Sahara. Andrea is currently a Senior Technical Expert on an EU-funded project in Iraq, a project which she also manages for Aktis.

Prior to joining Aktis, Andrea specialised in research consulting; she has formed part of a team to monitor and evaluate a security and justice programme in Syria, worked in the risk and investigations practice of an international management consultancy, and helped found a micro-social research consultancy in Myanmar.

Alongside her role at Aktis Andrea is co-founding Aktashif, a charity with the aim of promoting knowledge, education and cultural understanding in the Arabic-speaking world.

Andrea graduated with an MSc from Durham University, where she was a Ustinov College Scholar, and read law at Leeds University. She is a fluent Arabic, English and French speaker, and has, at various points in her career, also conversed in Burmese and Spanish to intermediate level.
