Dan Collison has worked in international development and humanitarian response for 20 years. He is currently the Director of Programmes for War Child UK. He supports teams and partners in seven conflict affected countries where War Child works to protect children’s rights through programmes in protection, education and livelihoods (Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, DRC, CAR and Uganda). Dan has worked for Save the Children, Christian Aid and the OSCE across a wide range of development and emergency settings, as Country Director and Programmes Director in East Africa, South Sudan, Angola, Thailand and Myanmar, as well as working across the southern Africa and Southeast Asia regions. He joined War Child in 2014 and is also the Chair of the inter-agency START Fund Committee, a multi-donor rapid emergency response fund.
