Gorm Rye Olsen is full professor in Global Politics at the Institute of Society and Globalization, Roskilde University, Denmark. Previous employment includes the Danish Institute of International Studies; Center for Development Research, University of Copenhagen; the Danish civil service and University of Aarhus. Gorm Rye Olsen is an expert in EU-Africa relations including the European Union in global affairs. He has published extensively on development policy issues including EU development policy, African politics and Middle Eastern politics. His academic publications have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Cambridge Review of International Affairs, European Security, Third World Quarterly, International Peacekeeping and International Politics, among others.
