Istituto Affari Internazionali

IAI has a long-standing tradition in the study of European integration, institutions, political economy and foreign policy. The research team at IAI have participated in numerous EU-funded research projects (CORE, MERCURY, MICROCON) and European and transatlantic networks. IAI has built on these projects as well as on their expertise in EU civilian capabilities for conflict prevention and crisis management for leading WP2 as well as to make contributions to other WPs that analyse the comprehensive approach and relations with other international organisations.

Alessandro Marrone

Alessandro Marrone is Senior Fellow in the Security and Defence Programme at IAI, where he has worked since 2009. He is interested on European security and defence issues, Italian defence and foreign policy, European armed forces, NATO and CSDP.

Andrea Aversano Stabile

Andrea Aversano Stabile is a Junior Researcher in the “Defence” programme at IAI, where he mainly monitors the project concerning military capabilities of EU Member States and collaborates to the analysis in the “Security” programme.

Bernardo Venturi

Bernardo Venturi is a researcher in the European Affairs area. He works mainly on EU civilian crisis management, CFSP/CSDP, development cooperation and African affairs.
