Matthew Jackson is an independent consultant, specialising in failed and fragile states responses and was most recently team leader for a UK FCO security sector capacity-building programme in Mogadishu. Previously he served in the British Army for 30 years, where he built extensive operational experience of failed and fragile states and UK integrated responses. Matthew holds a Masters degree in Security and Development from the University of Bristol.
