Paola Tessari is a former EU-CIVCAP Staff Member. This profile represents her biography at the time she worked for the project.
Paola is a Junior Researcher in the Security and Defence Programme at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI). She works on crisis management with a focus on civil protection and civil defence. Her research interests also cover disarmament and non-proliferation issues. She earned a Master’s Degree in European and International Studies from the School of International Studies in Trento, with a final dissertation on the role of the EU as a crisis manager and a comparison between the CSDP’s military and civilian missions in the Western Balkans. She was granted a scholarship for a period of study at the University of Lille 2 in France.
